Compassionate Thanksgiving Celebrations – Vegan Festivities for a Gentle Holiday

Written on April 30th, 2010 by adminno shouts

On the eve of Thanksgiving, we explore the many and varied ways to celebrate humanely, speak up for the animals, and enjoy delicious traditional holiday foods without the cruelty. Chef Craig of Mango’s Vegetarian Cafe will discuss with Dacia the fun of re-inventing traditions as Mango’s begins serving gourmet vegan holiday fare every Wednesday with entertainment from now until year-end. Super Happy Fun Land will invite us to their annual Happy Veggie Day potluck and party on Thanksgiving Day, roasted on an open fire-pit and kicking off a night of animal-rights performance entertainment. Also Jerrilyn will speak to the folks from SARA Animal Sanctuary about the chance to spend a volunteer day with rescued domestic animals before sharing a vegan holiday meal with friends at the Seguin refuge. Today’s show produced by Avon. For more informaiton, visit www.veganworldradio.org.
