common dude i come from a very small town in india.nobody wears a silk saree in kitchen.yes women cover their head i know the whole routine!!! but i was talking about wearing party clothe in kitchen!!! unless you are from saas bahu serial.
this is the way Indian daughter in laws are expected to dress in traditional families and also in some gunghat(covering hair with saree pallu) is necessary.its torture but still goes on.Covering hair and cooking is respect for elders.
